A worthy cause . . .

On Friday 23 July, staff at the Queensland Writers Centre (QWC) will be working in their pyjamas in support of Stress Down Day. Hmm, Kate Eltham and Angela Slatter both work at the QWC — I want to see some photos, ladies!

Stress Down Day is Lifeline’s only national fundraising event, held on Friday 23rd July 2010.

Every minute a new call is made to Lifeline’s 24 hour 13 11 14 crisis support service. The money QWC raises from donations will help pay for Lifeline’s $1.4 million annual phone bill and train more telephone crisis support volunteers with the skills to answer calls from Australians in need of support.

  1. The QWC guys seem to get involved in all kinds of good stuff! A very important organisation to support too. A friend of mine was on the phones with Lifeline for a while and I think it’s got to be one of the hardest things to do.
