Back in my old stomping ground, The Newcastle Herald published a very nice interview with me today about Madigan Mine and other writing-related matters. The questions were a lot of fun to answer and I’m pleased to see it’s made its way online as well. Not that my mum wouldn’t have gone out and scored herself a small plantation-worth of paper copies . . .

Congratulations Kirstyn!!! We are very proud of you.Well done and wishing you all the happiness 2010 and the future brings your way!! Lots of Love from John , Karen, Jasmine and Oma XXXOOXXX
Thanks guys! John, Mum tells me you’re reading the book … hope it doesn’t freak you out too much, Uncle My!
Congratulations again, Kirstyn. I agree The Book Thief is so wonderful. An incredibly inspiring novel. I sobbed so hard in that book that I thought I’d burst a blood vessel. I’ve just finished reading Lacuna which is also wonderful. Another book with words like paintings and characters that claim your being as you read. If you love Mexican art and literature it’s a goodie.
Imbolc Blessings to you and the lovely Jason. xx
Thanks, Josephine. I have Lacuna in my must read list (along with a bazillion other titles). Hope to catch up with you at the Sassy’s this year.
