Ballarat Launch: What the Bones Know

Head-and-shoulder portrait of the author Kirstyn McDermott wearing a red coat over a black top. She has shoulder-length curly hair dyes purple and black. There is also an image of the cover of her novel, What the Bones, Know. The image is a green-tinged night scene of the front of a house seen at a distance through trees. One window shines with a yellow glow. In the foreground the ghostly, transparent figure of a young girl drifts close to the edge of frame. The title is printed in large red capital letters, taking up almost the entire cover, and wavering as though viewed underwater. The tagline reads, "Sometimes what is buried does not stay buried".

In very exciting news, my novel What the Bones Know will be launched next month in Ballarat by Collins Booksellers on Lydiard as part of their In Conversation series.

When: 6.00pm, Thursday 5th March
Where: Old Colonists Club, 16 Lydiard St North, Ballarat (upstairs from Collins Booksellers on Lydiard)

Tickets are available now through EventBrite.

What the Bones Know is the first novel I’ve written since moving to Ballarat more than a decade ago and I’m delighted to be able launch it in the place I now call home. If you’re in town, I’d love to see you there!
